In my last blog post  I talked about “Social Media Backlinks”  and how important the “Social Vote” can

Social Media Backlinking

be for your website.

I explained how Google  changed it’s algorithms and now we have a new set of rules for gaining backlinks.

The major search engines have put their seal of approval on social media  backlinking.

The problem is how do you promote your content to  get enough backlinks thus benefitting from social media backlinking?

A good place to start is  understanding  the “Social Vote” and then implementing a strategy for  getting as much of the vote as possible.

Here are a few things to consider for getting your share of the “Social Vote”.

  • Content still rules and can be the driving force for getting your share of the  social vote.
  • On page optimization is still a good idea and I use SEO Pressor for this. It looks at SEO ranking factors and tells you exactly what your post needs. A little on page SEO goes a long way for optimizing your content.
  • It’s also a good idea to Ping your content as soon as you publish it. Pinging tells Google your content is ready to be crawled and indexed. Otherwise it will take a while before Google sees your page.
  • An important element for social media backlinking is to place social media share buttons conveniently on your site. Make it easy for your readers to give you the vote.
  • Develop a strategy for promoting your content to social media bookmarking sites.

My blog post today will look at a way you can  make your social media backlinking share buttons easy to find and use. I will also list some of the most popular social media sites.

I use  a Word Press plug in called Get Social. Get Social is easy to install and the settings can be adjusted to suite your blog. It’s a floating social media share box that follows along as the reader moves down the page. No more hunting for the share buttons. It follows along as your reader reads your post and is always right there in plain sight.

I made  this  short video to demonstrate the  usability of this plug in.

Where do you share your content?

Social bookmarking Sites: These are platforms that organize information. They do not store files but simply bookmark the web page or url. From here you can go back at a later time and read the article or you can share it easily with others.
The site users usually can choose specific interests. If your content is good quality and relevant it will be shared  thus rewarding you with backlinks.
Having Social Media share buttons on your blog is one of the keys to getting the Social Vote.

Let’s look at some of the most popular social media backlinking sites. I also included their Alexa traffic rank ( United States).

Facebook  The Social Media Giant is  ranked #2 in the USA and #1 in the world.

Facebook is a dominating force on the internet. Social shares can be a backlinking goldmine since everybody and their bother is constantly using Facebook.

You can also use paid post promotions  for extra umph via your Fan Page. This not only increases your shares but also increases your Edge Rank on Facebook meaning more people will see your content.
Facebook has the most users of any social media sites and it is a good place to start don’t forget to  like, comment and share.

Google+ |  Google is ranked #1 in the USA.

Google + is the social media network owned by Google of course .

Google plus had a birthday May of 2013 it was 2 years old. Since launching in 2011 it has become the second largest social networking site in the world.

Google + surpassed Twitter in January 2013. I will be writing more about Google + in the future.

You Tube is ranked #3

You Tube launched in 2005 and was sold to Google in 2009. It is a video sharing website. You may wonder why I included it here but there is a way to maximize You Tube for content sharing.
How to use it:
You can record a  video  post it on You Tube, then  write content to go with the video. Post the content to your blog and embed the video on your blog. From You Tube link back to your blog and the written content . This will drive traffic from You Tube to your blog.
It is easier to rank your content with a video and Google owns You Tube. There is an advantage sharing your content this way. Google likes blog posts with a You Tube video embedded.

Video is becoming more popular but You Tube is still underutilized. Now is the time to begin learning about social media backlinking using You Tube.

Twitter comes in at #12 rank for traffic.

Twitter is like a microblogging service. The text message can be up to 140 characters and they are known as tweets. It was created in 2006. There are over 500 million users at last count. You can connect and follow people of interest and you can also Re Tweet content you enjoy.Bloggers can use it as a mini-blogging tool.

Twitter was recently beat out by Google + for the #2 Social Network in the world.

Pintrest is ranked at #16

Pintrest is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. As a user you can browse other pinboards for images, ‘re-pin’ images to their own pinboards, or ‘like’ photos. You can also share your content directly to Pintrest. There is a lot of traffic on Pintrest

StumbleUpon #196

You determine your personal interest and Stumble Upon will feed content into your selected categories. Your content will also fall into other users categories. You can rate ,review and share what you stumble upon. It’s a great way to find cool content and great websites. You can add a Firefox or Google Chrome extension to your toolbar to make bookmarking easier.
Stumble Upon was written up in Forbes  (2011) as a great way to increase traffic to your web site and actually drives more traffic than Facebook even though it has a much smaller user base.

Digg is ranked at #800

All content is submitted by the user community. You simply submit the url for quality content you’d like to share.
Other Digg users can read your content and then digg it if they like it. With enough diggs your content is promoted to the first page where millions of visitors can see it and also give you their social vote.

There are many more social media backlinking sites  (hundreds of sites) such as:

These are all great sites for sharing and getting social votes for your content. There are hundreds of bookmarking and social media sites for sharing your content.
My strategy:

Finding  relevant key words for creating useful content, on page SEO optimization. I also ping my content after publishing. I will share in my next blog post automated social media tools I use to promote my content.

My strategy also includes using Comment Luv for do follow links. I  share to my Facebook Fan Page occasionally I do post promotion  to boost sharing of my content and I participate in a variety of content sharing groups. It’s always a good idea to have a call to action included at the end of your content. A simple CTA is to ask for Like, Comment and Share from your readers.

My social media  favorites are Facebook,  Goolgle +,  Twitter, Pintrest, LinkedIn, Stumble Upon, Digg, .

Over to you. Do you have a social media back linking strategy that you use consistently?

Which social media sharing sites do you post to regularly? What do you feel is the most important thing you do for content promotion?

I’d  hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’d love to hear your feedback on this subject.

Don’t forget to Like, Comment and Share!

Social Media Backlinks | 4 Keys To Success

googleSocial media backlinks are now more important than ever for the growth of your website/blog.

When I started blogging not long ago I had no clue how to get traffic to my blog, it was a total mystery. I’m still  no expert but I’ve learned a lot recently about the elements needed to have a successful blog.

The #1 problem for websites/blogs is traffic. Unfortunately Google keeps tweaking their search engine algorithms which can affect your traffic . They just rolled out Penguin 2.0 last week.

But first a little history about what has happened in the last 2 years that might be affecting your website/blog and your traffic.

Individual pages on your website/blog get ranked by Google in the search engine from the number of backlinks they receive.  Your main url receives a ranking for the total number of backlinks to your site.

A backlink is like a vote and the more votes your site or pages get the better. More backlinks gives your site authority and shows Google that the content you offer is in demand and relevant to your market.

You’ve no doubt heard of the Panda algorithm. Google implemented Panda in 2011  and it affected 12% to 15% of all websites on the internet. Penguin changes came out last year and  Penguin 2.0    was just launched last week  (May 22, 2013).

Why did  Google take this  action?

It became obvious that some internet marketers took advantage of the system by creating or buying non desirable backlinks for the sole purpose of inflating their rank. Google caught on to this tactic and got fed up with backlink spamming. There were many “Black Hat” marketers using these methods to build quantities of backlinks to inflate their ranking but these backlinks  lacked quality. The website/blog owners were trying to create more traffic to their site.

Google likes quality (relevance) so with the algorithmic changes  they went after the spammy backlinks.

The result was to de-index many website’s backlinks and also in some instances de-index the website itself. Many marketers websites were devastated to say the least. They lost their backlinks and with it the lost their rank and their traffic.

Unfortunately some of the “White Hat” marketers were also caught in the cross fire and they too suffered some loss in backlinks and ranking.

This turn of events has brought us to social media for creating organic backlinks.

Google likes natural organic backlinks.  Enter “The Social Vote.”

Social Media Marketing is where we are today in building our website/blog and online business. To be effective we need to know all we can about how to implement this preferred backlinking strategy.

Social Media Definition:   Here’s a great article on what is Social Media.

These backlinks are relevant to your site and also your bio because real humans are giving them to you when they come to your blog to read your content. This makes Google very happy! By getting your backlinks in this organic way you do not have to fear Google’s rath by getting  de-indexed.

How do you get “The Social Vote?” Here are 4 Keys to Success

 1.  Know which key words your niche market is looking for. Build your website/blog around those keywords. With Penguin make sure you use different anchor text for your keywords in a blog post.

 2. Write quality content that is relevant (keywords) to your market and readers. Great content still rules!

3. Make it easy for your readers by placing social media buttons in a convenient location. You really want everyone coming to your blog to share your great content.

4.You can also do your part to share your content on the web. Joining groups is one great way to share your content and also posting to your social media sites don’t forget to ask your fans and friends to Like, Comment and Share your blog posts.

What social media sharing sites do you  share on and what is a good way to implement social media management?

I will  be talking more about these top social media sites and social media tools in my next blog post.

I just read a great article by Babanature (thanks Adrienne) where he listed a great many of these social media examples. He also outlined his routine for posting and sharing to these sites. It’s a great read!

There is a site I’d like to share with you. You can go here and see how many backlinks your website/blog has. It will also tell you where these backlinks came from. It has a free version for checking 10 urls a day. It’s called Ahref  click the link.

What are your thoughts on the “Social Vote?” Like it, hate it? It took me a while to understand this subject. We as website owners need to stay aware of things that affect our website such as the newly implemented Penguin 2.0.

Over to you, do you think about SEO and backlinking? Are you doing keyword research to maximize your traffic potential?

What are you doing now for building backlinks to your blog?

What do you know about private label rights content?

Is it something you’ve considered for your content marketing?

What is is?

Why would you want to use it?

What’s creating the demand for PLR?

This blog post will answer these questions and more…read on.

More and more people are looking for a home based businesses.

PLR Content

Company issued websites just aren’t enough  for building a successful business online. You need your own branded website or blog.

A blog creates  a platform for building your brand. This is  where  customers and leads can find you.  A blog is a central element in attraction marketing. You can use your blog for value based content such as tutorials, company reviews , motivational content and any information related to your niche market. It gives you a home on the internet to grow your brand by sharing value packed  unique blog posts.

Unique content creation can be a big problem and some new comers may be enticed to use PLR articles to fill the pages of their blog.

What is PLR?

PLR is intellectual property that the seller gives you a license to use. It can include articles, e-books and other digital content. The “license” is defined by the seller. It is usually inexpensive and many copies are sold to many people. The content can be bought as individual articles or it can be bought in bundles.

I must confess that I fell into this trap very early with my blog.

I was told to blog everyday! That’s a lot of content!

I was a newbie, I freaked . I had no idea how to produce this much content.  “The Guru”  said I had to do  this  in order to be successful so I set out  to find a way.

I stumbled onto private label rights content and I felt like I had found a life saver. At the time I did not know the effect it would have on my blog. I didn’t know using a PLR article with no rewrites could be damaging.  It wasn’t long before I noticed the same article on another blog and then another. I was embarrassed. I knew then I had made a  mistake!

Then…..  The Google Slap , first Panda followed by Penguin…ouch!   That is  one of the reasons I’m writing this today…don’t fall prey to duplicate content! I still see duplicate content on the web and I still hear some of the leaders telling their group to just copy their blog posts! You see PLR content is a form of copying someone else’s content..I’m here to say don’t’ do it.

Truth is, there is no easy button …..really!

Unfortunately this is a trap many bloggers fall into.

There is a way you can take advantage of PLR content that I’d like to share with you today.

PLR: Advantages

1.   Springboard for Ideas:

You can get some great ideas from reading PLR articles for you niche but as stated above never use the unedited PLR for your blog posts.

There are some high quality PLR articles out there but you still don’t want to use them without rewriting them. You can use these as a basis for unique articles written by you.

2. Time management:

Many people begin their business while still full engaged in a career .  They don’t have much time to  to do the research for  unique blog posts. That’s were high quality PLR  can help because most of the research is already done. This can save you time.

PLR Disadvantages:

1. Duplicate Content

PLR content has been sold  to many other people . The search engines will not find much value in your content and Google will penalize you for duplication of content.

What you could do instead would be to purchase unique content from a good writer. This is a much better option if you don’t have the time or talent for writing your own content.

2. Rewriting is a must:

Your new article must be at least 30% unique.  Your article needs to pass through copyscape filters. Keep in mind the rewriting process  can take as long as writing a unique article. Which brings me to the next point.

3.  Missed Opportunity To Develop You Own Style

Another disadvantage to PLR is  that you are only going to develop your style  of writing by learning and practicing your craft. Even if you’re not a  talented writer  now, so what! You have a unique voice and only you can express it. Start practicing your writing and it will improve over time.

The true key to attraction marketing is your unique voice. No one is like “You”.  Take the time to develop your skills and learn your craft, you will find your audience.

How about you, what is your opinion of PLR? Is is a good idea or not? Have you ever used it and how did you use it?

I’d love to hear what you have to say about this subject!

Warning! Blogging Can Expand Your Mind!

Blogging can be mind expanding

Free Digital Photo

Blogging can expand your mind! Are you in?

The blogging world is a kalidescope of intellectual, factual ,entertaining and sometimes downright funny subject matter.

A blog is a great asset for your business and is as varied and unique as the individual who writes it.

If you are interested in learning internet marketing then I suggest you take a look at blogging. A blog is an integral part of the internet marketing process, but beware it’s not going to be  easy especially at the beginning.

There are so many things you have to learn and it’s hard work as any blogger will tell you.

I started blogging about a year and a half ago. I had no clue but knew it would be a great asset for my business, my own little piece of real estate online. I paid someone to set  up  my word press site so I could start blogging.

I can say I’ve experienced many feelings towards blogging since then including:

Stress, fatigue, happiness, excitement, mind expansion, success, failure, gratitude and wonder all rolled up into one BIG  experience.

I’ve had to learn a lot of varied techie things about my computer and being online. Things I never knew before…some were little secrets I’ve uncovered with the help of my online blogging buddies.

Who knew your computer could be so versatile. It really is a wonderful tool and can make your life a lot easier or make it hell-ish but never fear if you stick with it you will improve. The trick is to find the programs and software for your purpose and then learn how to use them.  This can be daunting for someone who does not come from a computer related background, but where there’s a will there’s a way. Stick with it!

I’ve learned some of these things the hard way by plucking along  getting frustrated until I became cross eyed at which point I:

A. Pulled my hair out and screamed or

B Miraculously hit on a solution

Many of the things I’ve learned have come from other online marketers and bloggers who have more experience and logged in time than me. I read many blogs during the week and by reading other blogs  you can learn so much from these wonderful  giving experienced people….thank you bloggers for  teaching me and making my life easier. It’s an education in itself to read all of these great blogs.

Below, I’d like to introduce you to some of these amazing bloggers who I really appreciate and feel fortunate to have stumbled upon.

He is a fantastic teacher and has some awesome digital training products. The one that’s helped me the most  so far is his Bloggers Roadmap. It takes you step by step through the process of setting up a blog from scratch. It’s not expensive for the enormous amount of information contained there.

It outlines the whole process of setting up a blog and includes a description of all the plug ins you need to have a professional looking and running blog. So check it out on his website.

#3 Donna  Merrill

Donna is one of those people that when you meet  her you feel like you’ve known her forever. She really has a knack for making you feel welcome and special.

Her blog posts are just as genuine as she is and she offers lots of great tips and suggestions to make your  internet marketing, social media and blogging easier and your life more comfortable.

#4 Sapna

Sapna is a techie guru  from India with a graduate degree . She was recently in the Corporate Rat Race but now has her own consulting business along with her husband and brother.

She writes a really satirical and funny blog.  Her daughter Divya  is a young artist and draws some  awesome characters that matches the subject matter. These blog post are very funny and I always get a big chuckle reading these informative intelligent posts. Check out her blog!

How to write a great Headline              how to write a great headling

In my last blog post I outlined the H-PITA Formula for creating highly convertible content. I had  lots of comments on this subject and especially related to the H  as you know  stands for headline.

The Headline is one of “The Most” important elements of your blog post.

I would like to share some of the  comments  I received.

Sue Neal

“I usually spend quite a while trying to get my headline right and write this first-I use it as the focus of the article.”

Dan Sumner

” I personally think the headline says a lot especially when you tweet it or email to your readers. An interesting headline gets way more opens!”

Bonnie Gean   bonniegean .com

“Interestingly enough I sometimes create the headline AFTER the rest has been written. It works better for me that way.”

BG Jenkins

” I agree that the headline needs to be something enticing to get that click. I appreciate the comments from your visitors to add to the info.”

Ginny Carter

“I think what people often forget is that a headline should offer or imply some benefit to the reader- entice them into thinking what’s in it for me”.

Although I chose only a few comments to share I do appreciate all of the comments.

It was interesting to see that everyone agrees on the importance of the headline. It was also interesting to read that some of you use the headline for the content creation and some of you create the content and then think about the headline. I am of the latter persuasion. I tend to create the content first and then the headline.

So here’s the BIG CHALLENGE.

We are competing for attention on the internet. If we get enough attention then we also get traffic.  Without traffic we are wasting our valuable time and we will not be getting content into the hands of the audience we are trying to reach.

You can create dynamic content and even rank on the first page of Google but if your Headline doesn’t stir curiosity or emotion and entice your reader to click then what’s the point? Our ultimate goal is to get the click…agree?

I certainly have struggled with this problem as I’m sure many of you have.

When I started blogging I was clueless about everything related to blogging. I just jumped in feet first. I was told I needed a blog to promote my business and I  definitely agreed. It is an essential part of  marketing online.

I think initially I had some pretty boring headlines and even pretty boring blog posts. Of course I still struggle with this issue. One thing you don’t want to be online is BORING!  It’s worth the time and effort to discover some things that may help you become less boring.  The process is  all about learning your craft and developing the skills you need for success.

One of the awesome resources I ran across recently was a report written by Jon Morrow , he is an assistant editor over at  Copy Blogger and has several of his own blogs . Jon Morrow has an amazing life story you can read about   here. He is a  an online coach and all around great copywriter.

The name of the report is  52 Headline Hacks   A “Cheat Sheet” for Writing Blog Posts That Go Viral.  I have downloaded a lot of information about writing great headlines but this is by far the best i’ve found. It’s now the only source I use to help me create my headlines.

Jon Morrow tells a story of an English professor  he once had who said this” The best writers are the best thieves,” he goes on to explain that most of the enticing headlines you see today are really more than 50 years old. They are merely changed and modernized for “Today’s Market” but the basic format is the same.

Here are a few categories that you can expect to find in the report.

There are threat headlines: What keeps your readers up at night?

1. How Safe is Your [Blank]

2. The Shocking Truth About [blank]

Zen Headlines

1. Can’t keep up? 11 Ways to Simplify

2. How to take charge of your [unruly problem]

Mistake Headlines- Irresistible Teasers From the Masters

1. [blank] Mistakes that make you [look/sound] like a [blank]

2. 11 [blank] mistakes you don’t know you’re making

These are only a few of the selection and he recommends that you use one a week since there are 52 headlines you can chose one every week for the whole year. I hope you take the time to look at this report I think it’s great!

This is a quick way to increase attention to your blog posts and after all that is our main challenge online. We as bloggers want and need our share of attention!

I’d love to hear some examples of eye popping headlines you may have run across. Feel free to share them here.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post about how to write a better headline and I would like to hear more about your processes for writing clickable and enticing headlines.

How To Write A Great Blog Post | 5 Key Elements

How To Write A Great Blog Post

how to write a great blog post

Image courtesy of Stuart Miles at

If you’re like me you  will understand how difficult it is to come up with great content for your blog. In fact sometimes it seems impossible but with a little persistence and know how it doesn’t have to be that way.

In this blog post I would like to share  some information I came across while I was watching a tutorial for software I use in my video marketing. Finding information about blog content while studying video marketing may sound strange but even with video marketing you still need an article to explain what’s in your video. The content also needs to be optimized for the search engines. We as marketers cannot get away from the fact that we need great written content.

I’m always looking for really good information on how to improve my blog and create better blog posts so this was an exciting find.

You might also like to read this recent  post entitled: “The Perfect Blog Post” .

Here are the 5 Key Elements for how to write a great blog post  and it’s easy to remember.

The H-PITA Formula.

H stands for Headline

How to write a great blog post  always begins when you create a compelling headline.

Your goal is to make it compelling enough so that people will click it.

Even if you’re on the first page of  Google ,if your headline doesn’t entice readers then no one’s going to click to read your great content.

I  once  heard that there really are no new headline and that the best writers are the best thieves. I’m not calling anyone here a thief and  I’m also  not saying to blatantly steal simply to watch what’s working and take note! Every headline has already been used. Most headlines were in use 50 years ago and we still use the format today. The best we can do is to follow them  and personalize the headline to make it our own.

I use a notebook where I gather healine how tos and I’ve collected all kinds of headlines. I go to this notebook for inspiration and direction.

Here are some of the headline categories I use: I also included some of the examples from recent blog posts.

Threat Headlines:        How Safe Is Your Twinkie

How To Headlines:      How To Drive Traffic To Your Website/ Using Key Word Research

List Headlines:             MLM Forums 5 Things To Know Before Joining

Mistake Headlines:    7 ( Blank) Mistakes That Make Everyone Look Stupid ( don’t have one of these yet…note to self)

P stands for Problem

You can build rapport with your reader by stating the problem. When someone goes to Google or one of the other search engines and types in a key word , they are usually looking for specific information and or  a solution to a problem. When they find your content  it lets the person know that you understand their struggle and it builds rapport. They have found you  and your great content is a solution to their problem.

I stands for Irritate:

Use examples and  illustrations to bring the problem to  life.  Tell a story about how you struggled with  the problem and how it affected you or your business.

Just like in this blog post I told you  a story about how I struggle with this  problem of how to write a great blog post and I also shared that I think I found some great information to help solve this problem.

T stands for Take Away

At this point you want to give value but you don’t want to give away the whole enchilada.

Give  your reader some helpful tips and  some insider information but don’t give away all your knowledge on the subject. Your reader should get useful value from your content but they should also have a reason to come back for more.

A stands for Call to Action:

Ask for the sale. The number one reason people don’t get the sell is they don’t ask for it. If you are interested in selling your reader some helpful product or maybe you just want them to follow you on Twitter or Face Book you can’t assume that they will know what to do next. You must be clear and ask them to click the link! Many bloggers forget to do this and they really miss out on building their list or making the sale.

I hope this blog post was helpful for you today and I would really like to know about your process for coming  up with  ideas for blog posts and especially if you have a format or system you use to create your content. #1 Content creation for your lead generation blog:

First and foremost define who your target market is. This is a big part of the battle when writing a lead generation blog post. Who are your prospects? What are they looking for? What are they struggling with?

One way to define your target market is to think about yourself in terms of what you have learned and what you struggled with when you first started learning online marketing.

After you have determined who you are writing for then you will need to create great content for them.

There are many places you can look for good ideas to create your content. Here is a list but not all inclusive of some of the places I go to get my ideas.

There are many other places to find ideas for blog posts…be creative.

#2  Use a good key word when writing for your lead generation blog post:

After you’ve come up with several ideas for your  blog post or even before you need to find a key word.

A good key word or key word phrase is one that people are actually looking for. The way to find out what people are looking for is to do a key word search. I use the free Google Key Word Tool. This will tell you how many people are searching for the word you’re interested in using.

There is another tool I use  called Market Samurai. Market Samurai is a very good tool but there is a learning curve and I will be the first to tell you I am not an expert using this tool. I basically use the Google key word tool to find a good word or phrase then I take a  look at it with Market Samurai to see more about the strength of the competition.

Once you are happy with the number of searches your key word will receive and know that the competition is fair then you can begin to write your content.

#3 Putting it all together and final touches for your lead generation blog post.

The beginning of the writing process for me is to put in the headings first. I always use at least 3 headings which are  H1,H2 and H3 . This creates the  frame work for  the blog post. Then I write the content consisting of several paragraphs for each heading. I usually write my  blog post on a word document first because it is easier to maneuver there, the word press format is a little tight. I write the content then copy and paste it to Word press.

I also use a tool called SEO Pressor. It is like an SEO expert standing over your shoulder telling you what your blog post needs as far as key word density which should be between 1.5 to 2%. You will also need links to other pages on your blog, alt tags, headings and so on. With SEO Pressor you get a score for your post and also a key word density percentage.

Next you will need to include pictures and those can be found on many different sites most of which are free as long as you give credit to the site and the contributor. For most of my images I use  freedigitalphotos, or you can use you own personal images which are always a nice touch. You can also add a video to your blog post as well as pictures.

Last but not least don’t forget the call to action. This is where you can offer a free give away in exchange for the prospect’s contact information. The call to action is probably one of the most important parts of the blog post and should never be forgotten

So there you have it. This is how you can use your blog as a lead generation tool that will give you many free leads!

How To Write The Perfect Blog Post

The Perfect Blog Post, does it really exist or is it the Chupacabra of the internet?the perfect blog post

Never heard of the Chupacabra? It could be a myth or a legend.  It is said to strike in the middle of the night and loves blood? Some call the Chupacabra Puerto Rico’s version of the Yeti!  It is infamous, not too unlike our subject of the day,

The most important feature of the perfect blog post.

#1. The headline ,If you can’t get them to stop and read your headline they are gone.  There are many interesting blogs out there and the next attention grabbing headline is just around the corner. Grab their attention now cause they may not be back anytime soon.

#2. Make your opening  interesting enough to get your audience to read the first few sentences.

#3. Use a half width image to make the first few lines shorter. This helps to increase interest and a desire to read more.

#4. Sub-head. make a promise and give them a benefit for reading on.

#5. Trigger an emotion. Emotions help us focus and this will make them pay attention.

#6. Encourage  them to quote you by having a Tweet button available. Remember people quote authorities

#7. Big Promise here give your audience the step by step and the how to.

#8. Give good advice, you know the kind you’d like to get. Something that will help you do something better with tips you need to know. Useful content is more viral than any other kind.

Blogging For MLM Success: 5 Key Points

Blogging For MLM Success                                                                                       pink typewriter thank you note

If you’re  in  an MLM  business you know the most important thing to help grow your business is a steady flow of  interested leads. If you’ve bought leads before you know they are not the most targeted and some of them are annoyed that you are calling. There are other ways to create leads but there again they are not always as targeted as you might like.

So What’s the solution to this problem? Where do you find new leads? This is where blogging comes in.  Blogging can help you  find targeted leads on the internet if you know how.

I put together some pointers  and I’d like to share them with you today. Here are some of the ways you can use blogging for MLM success.

1. What is a blog?

A blog is simply a website. There are many ways to make it uniquely your own. Word press  has made blogging simple to set up. Everyone should be able to set up their own blog. I do suggest you use a blog because it will belong to you and no one can take it away or dictate what you can write about. You will need hosting for this set up. There is a yearly fee but it’s not expensive. I use Blue Host for hosting my blog. You can find Blue Host here under my product recommendations here. You will also need to purchase a domain name for your blog so think in terms of branding yourself.

2. Branding Yourself

Branding yourself online is very important and can help you enhance your blogging for MLM success. is my domain name for this blog and I am building my brand. It is unique. Don’t brand yourself to a company because that could change, make sure your brand is unique! I am building my brand as me . I feel this is the best way to go.

WordPress has allowed the average person with a passion to express themselves and join the world wide web to get their message out to the masses. This goes along very well with blogging for MLM success. You can write a blog post as easy as using a word document.

You can customize your blog with different themes and plugins to make your blog unique in appearance and stand out from the crowd. Show your creativity!

What you say in your own voice is the key to your message.  By expressing your unique point of view your efforts at blogging for mlm success will pay off in dividends.

3. Blogging for MLM success is an interactive process.                                                                                                             interactive

Once you set up your blog and begin the process of sharing your unique voice you will attract readers to your blog. Encourage your readers to comment. Commenting is the life blood of your blog. Commenting creates a sense of community and your blog can become a trusted source of information that can be shared with others across the internet. Commenting can also create organic back links  which is a very good thing. Google likes this and we like to please Google. Play it forward and always visit your readers blog as well if they have one. Read the blog post and  leave a genuine comment on their latest entry.

4. Blogging for MLM success takes consistent effort.

Nurture your  blog It is important to continually add fresh and interesting content to your blog on a regular schedule. Your blog needs to be nurtured and cared for. It is like a living thing. If it is neglected it could wither and die. Many blogs have been started and then abandoned. It’s not hard to find these abandoned blogs scattered across the internet wastelands. Don’t let this happen to your blog. Make a commitment to grow your blog readership and you will be blogging for MLM success in no time.

5. Monetize your blog.

Once you create your blog and nurture it your readers will find you and continue to grow in numbers. This creates traffic and the traffic can be monetized. This can grow into a good source of income for you the blog owner!  If you want to earn money on the internet and grow  your business blogging for MLM success is a great way to go.
