Is You Tube Video Marketing A Good Idea For Your Business?
You Tube Video Marketing is on my goals list for 2013.
You know when you first begin using the internet for generating MLM leads you don’t always know which strategy will grab your attention. For me I love anything creative, fun and rt brained. Video definitely meets those requirements. Video marketing has some of the same technical aspects as blogging so it’s very important that you learn how to produce and share your videos for maximum results.

I’m writing this blog post to share with you some great information that could help you make a decision about using You Tube Video Marketing to build your brand and increase your business.
You Tube was founded in 2005, doesn’t seem that long ago does it? It was purchased by Google in 2006 and it is growing at such a rapid pace. I know some of my fellow marketers are having fantastic success generating leads with this modality.
If you have been thinking about You Tube Video Marketing for yourself, there is no better time than now to start learning.
Here are some facts you should know about You Tube!
As you can see You Tube Video Marketing might be a good idea for your business.
I’m reading lately a lot of marketers are doing a hybrid…Vlog for their Blog home, Vlog is video and written blog post. Actually on You Tube you will get the best results if you add a 500 word report to your video. There is SEO optimization for You Tube, the advantage is you are ranked within You Tube but can also appear on Google in the rankings . If you get to the first page of Google even though you might not be in the number 1 position most people will be naturally be attracted to the video on the page another slight advantage for getting the click and an opt in.
You Tube Video Marketing is a great way to brand yourself. Think about it. Your prospects can really get to know, like and trust you through video. it makes perfect sense to use video in your marketing plan.
As you learned in the infographic above, You Tube is the 3rd most visited site behind Facebook #2 and then of course Google #1. With 70% of the Traffic coming from the rest of the world this is truly an international marketing tool.
There are 7 billion people on the earth with 2 billion plugged into the internet and 5 billion with cell phones. That’s a lot of traffic to tap into.
I am learning how to use video and I am in my second video course. There are many tips and tricks to using You Tube Video Marketing and I will share with you what I learn along the way.
Some of the things I have learned :
- You don’t have to have fancy cinematographer’s gear to produce value content and a great video
- Key Words are important for video
- People like video
- Your customers/prospects feel they know you from your videos and it is easier to have them buy or opt in.

Hey Tonya,
I’m happy to hear you’re going to do more videos this year. I remember when you did your first few and I loved them. I love watching videos and I definitely learn this way much easier.
I’ve been through a few video courses myself and you’re right. You don’t have to have a lot of fancy stuff in order to get started. As you have more success you can upgrade as you go.
Love the infographic and lots of great information there. People should be doing videos along with their blogging so I’m excited to see what you’ll be sharing with us as time goes by.
Good luck Tonya!
~Adrienne
Hi Adrienne,
You remember my first videos, thanks for the kind comments..I should have kept on going… this year I am committing to a more consistent effort. Lots of folks I know are having some great success capturing leads this way.
I really love this infographic too, found it while I was doing the research for this article.
Thanks and now I’m off to finish me course.
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
This is on my long-term list, but I know it’s going to take me a while to get to grips with making videos so, being realistic, I’m not sure I’ll be able to get into it this year.
Like Adrienne, I enjoy learning from videos, but I like it best when a written version as well, so I have the option of reading and going at my own pace. I think that’s my main frustration with them – they can be very time consuming to listen to and it’s annoying when there’s a lot of waffle – I find myself grumbling at the screen, telling them to ‘get on with it’!
I must admit, I use the Enounce MySpeed program that enables you to alter the speed of playback – very useful for speeding up and slowing down videos, especially when you’re working through a training course.
Great infographic and really handy tips, which I will bear in mind when I eventually get around to making videos myself – thank you!
Sue
Hi Sue,
Thanks for the great comments.
It’s definitely worth looking into now, the trends are showing more and more traffic coming from video.
The course I’m taking recommends the 500 word post to go with the video.
Most videos need to be around 3 min to prevent the kind of frustration your mention. I didn’t know there was such a thing as Enounce My Speed good tip there.
Keep watching for my updates on video marketing.
Later,
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
Great Post! I like Videos too but to be honest, I didn’t give it that much of an attention so I didn’t thought of including it in my marketing efforts. Maybe that is due to my lack of education on Video marketing. But maybe if I learned it the right way, I will consider it. It will definitely add some spice to my blog.
I love the info-graphic and I look forward for what you have to share about video marketing from what you learn and educate myself more about it before I decide if it is for me.
Thanks Tonya for such a great post. Keep the training coming about it.
Be Blessed,
Neamat

Great post Tonya,
Youtube marketing is one of the quickest ways to bridge the gap between yourself and your potential business partner.
When someone sees your video it begins the relationship building process faster than any other medium could possibly hope to.
I for one am looking forward to utilizing it much more effectively in 2013 and beyond.
Here’s to making 2013 EPIC!
Keep rockin,
J
Hi John,

Tonya
Hi Tonya,
Thank you for this informative post! I love the infographic
I have been thinking of doing Video Marketing for a few months now. Given that I still have the SEO and blog traffic as my main online goals for 2013, I do not think that I can still fit a video marketing course in.
Having said that, I do not want to miss out! You may have noticed that I have a short video at my blog! I have that outsourced
I have actually done another 12 videos that will be rolled out soon!
I am thankful for your sharing. I am also excited to hear that you are onto something that is trendy! Go for it, Tonya!
Viola The Business Mum
Hi Viola,
Great seeing you hear and thank you for your great comments.
I will definitely check your out sourced video…good deal.
It is so hard to keep up with everything we need to do for our online business.
I did an offline event yesterday where we got 83 lead forms fill out, now we have to do follow up calls….ugh, or guess I should say yeah! But that too is so time consuming.
Good luck with the vids and all the SEO..boy that’s a year in itself!
Let’s connect soon here there or on FAcebook!
Thank you,
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
Love that infographic!
I did some video training last year and it is so powerful in getting traffic
I really enjoy doing step by step instructional videos so will certainly be doing a lot more this year
