MLM Forums | 5 Things To Know Before Joining
MLM Forums can be a great marketing strategy for your business.
The definition of forums in ancient Rome could be described as a market place or public square . It would be the center of judicial and business affairs and a place of assemble for the people. It could also be described as a meeting place for the discussion of questions of public interest.
The definition is not unlike the MLM forums on the internet today.
It is a gathering place and it definitely is a place for discussion, answering questions and getting information.
This blog post will help you understand how you can use mlm forums as a free lead source.
Forums are often an overlooked area. Some of the benefits include:
- You are in the company of “Like Minded” people sharing ideas and thoughts about ways to build business.
- There are usually lots of newbies in the forums looking for answers to things they are struggling with.
- You can be building backlinks to your blog when you place the link in your signature.
There are many mlm forums on the internet related to the home based business and network marketing. MLM forums are an excellent place to not only learn about techniques to grow your business but also begin building relationships. You can visit a few of these a day to begin the process.
Most of the people on these mlm forums will be promoting something so it is helpful if you can offer some form of generic marketing information which can pull in some clicks and opt ins and it also brands you as a professional marketer. You are building a reputation by showing your professionalism.
You want to have a great signature file you can use on your mlm forums profile such as: Don’t leave money on the table. Learn what to offer people who say No to your business. http://www you link.
Here are dos and don’ts for marketing on forums:
1. Please don’t SPAM. If you see someone posting a link in their comments it’s probably a new marketer. Set the example: keep your links in your signature only.
2. You main goal should be to always be positive ,lead by example and offer value based comments and training.
3. If you don’t know anything about a subject being discussed then do your homework and research for the answer then go back and share what you learn.
4. Make sure you ask questions to encourage interaction with the forum members.
5. A great idea would be to have a lead capture page in place with email follow ups ready to send. You will be building your list with the opt ins.
It is important to interact with the forum members by posting updates and answering questions the more you connect the more opportunity you have for leaving your links on many different topics.
Here is a list of some of the Top Marketing forums you might like to leave your signature on.

Hey Tonya!
Useful tips here! Loved the comparison with Roman Forums, though it did conjure up a number of distracting thoughts! lol
Nevertheless, solid information – as always!
Thanks!
~Robin~
Hi Robin,
Hahaha! Glad I provided you with some visions. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my MLM Forums!
Have a great day!
Tonya
I’ve never had much luck with forums Tonya. I think everyone has their own strong personality and some of those people can be downright mean with their responses. You know, the “know it alls”.
I would hope that the MLM forums would be much more helpful and I did have some bad experiences early on so now I just go and ask questions when I need some help and I stay away from offering my advice.
I hear though that they are still a great place to get leads from time to time but I guess you have to choose your source appropriately.
Loved this advice though.
Have a great week.

Hi Adrienne,
Hey girl, thanks for sharing your experience with the forums. I’ve been on forums before not for MLM but for other subjects and I know exactly of what you speak! It seems there are always those bullies on the playground or the “know it all!
That being said I think you can use them to advantage and not get caught up in the drama.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post.
I appreciate you!
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
I have heard a lot about Forum Marketing but honestly I have never tried using them. But you provided a great list of forums here, I think I should check them out.
I heard a lot of marketers are hanging on the worrier forum and it gives me a feeling that it is saturated. Am I right?
Thanks Tonya for the advice and for sharing this post with us.
Be Blessed,
Neamat
Hi Neamat,
Honestly Neamat I don’t frequet the Warrior but use it as a reference when I need an answer to some technical question.
I have frequested some of the others however and they have many benefits for your blog.
You can read about what newbies are struggling with and get ideas for blog post.
You can also generate backlinks by posting consistently in the forums.
So for those reasons they are really more like a social network.
Hope you get a chance to visit some of them.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment!
Have a great day.
Tonya
HI Tonya
Great information!
Thanks for sharing the number of forums for reference, as I was aware of Warrior only.
The Do’s & Dont’s of forums will be handy for sure.
Thanks for sharing this.
Sapna
Hi Sapna,
I know this is not your niche but I want to thank you for taking the time to read and comment.
There are many reasons to visit and comment in these forums and they are similar to a social network.
We as network marketers are always looking for a good lead source and forums can be that.
They also give you backlinks not unlike article marketing.
Thanks for your great comment, I do appreciate them!
Tonya
Tonya.. this post is value packed.. many people do not understand how to use forums.. yet after reading this post.. there are no questions.. thank you for sharing. keep smiling
Hi Shalonda,
Welcome to my blog. Glad you got some value from this and thank you for your comments.
See you soon.
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
I’ve never joined up with a forum. Maybe its because I’m not a part of Network Marketing? I don’t know. So I can’t give an opinion on this.
What I can do is tell you that you have done an excellent job explaining it to me and I thank you for that.
Donna
Hi Donna,
You are so sweet..thank you for your great comments!
Have a great day,
Tonya
Hi Tonya,
Great post! MLM forums are definitely something I knew very little about until I read your post. I’ve heard people talk about them, but for whatever reason, I’ve just never given them a try myself. Now I think I should at least look into them!
Thanks for this information!
Have a good one!
Jess
Hi Jess,
So happy to share something new for you. You might pick up some great topics for blog posts by visiting a few of the ones I listed.
Let me know what happens.
Thanks for stopping by commenting!
Tonya
Hi Tonya – I think the advice you’ve given here holds true for other forums online, as well as MLM forums. I think forums are a great way to interact with other people and make contacts – they’re just another form of social media in a way.
At the moment I’m only actively involved, and that rather sporadically, on one forum linked to a course I did last year. I’d like to get involved in other forums but just don’t have time at the moment.
Your point about adding value is the key, in my view – and it’s the same principle that applies to blog commenting and other forms of social media. If you just use forums blatantly to self-promote, you won’t get much back – as ever, you need to give if you want to receive,
Sue
Hi Sue,
Great seeing you and thank you for the comments.
I agree with you these forums are like a social venue. You “really” get to know someone when you see them posting and sometimes reacting to others posts.
It’s a little window into the way people think and what they think.
I was in a forum for a few years, not related to business but Playa Del Carmen Mx. which is where Harold and I go to get away. I developed some amazing friendships. We even scheduled vacations at the same time so we could meet. At one point I even organized an event at my home here in Alabama and had forum friends come from all over the US and even from Canada for a reunion type gathering.
It really can be a great way to develope relationships.
Tonya
That’s amazing, Tonya – it’s lovely when the ‘virtual’ world becomes ‘real’ (in a nice way, of course!)
